Sub 5 min run!
Wow consider me impressed, as the creator I only had a 7 minute run :(((
Love the concept and theme especially the sprite animations for the grandson! Well done!
This is such a fun concept and I love the visuals of the game! The sword to jump was a bit frustrating at times (maybe having a spacebar to jump control in the settings as an accessibility feature might help?) But seeing the grandpa ghost sigh in relief after each level made me smile! Great characterisation and attention to detail!
I played this for quite a while. I was able to beat the game with only switching to the lance once, every other level I was able to beat it without possessing anything else. Here is how I was able to do most of them:
Really cool game idea though!
Love the idea. The art is great as well!
Super fun! Grandfather is very well-designed, really appreciate the simple-to-understand-but-hard-to-master mechanics. I wish the die-repeat loop was a bit faster, and that the music wouldn’t stop when I died. For the harder levels, was a bit annoying to keep hearing same section of music and waiting for death screen to try again. Great game!
very impressive game!
Hey dodeyrosinte,
Possessing my idiotic grandson's sword to fling him around the level was a lot of fun. Really love the art for the game and especially liked the cute animation for beating a level. I didn't get the chance to see all the mechanics in your game but what I played was great and you should be proud of what you have made.
I streamed my playthrough of the game (the video has chapters). Check it out:
